Strike for Vets Charity Bowling Event Raises Over $7,000

to Benefit Veterans, Military Families during Medical Crises

Joint effort by 2 Outstanding Teenagers with Friends of Fisher House-Illinois

Results in Successful Launch of Charity Bowling Event

Generosity, appreciation for military service and loads of fun was all part of the action at Fox Bowl, Wheaton, Oct. 16, for the first Strike for Vets event. America’s Got Talent finalist, Chicago singing group Musicality, marked the event launch with a rousing rendering of the national anthem to a crowd of over 150 and the bowling began.

Teams from VFW Posts and Rolling Thunder bowled side-by-side with Robert Morris University students, Society of American Military Engineers (S.A.M.E.) and Paralyzed Veterans of America – Vaughan Chapter –using marvelous devices purchased by FOFH-IL for their use.

Military Families Express Thanks

When asked ‘where do you want to go on vacation?’

I thought…and thought and answered:

Hines Fisher House!

Not for the fun and games
which were great but for the camaraderie – mutual trust
and friendship among people
who spend a lot of time

Thank You…
