U.S. Secret Service Chicago Field Office Contributes $10,000 Raised by 2014 Operation Shining Star Charity Golf Event
This annual benefit supports Friends of Fisher House-Illinois and the 100 Club of Chicago.
FOFH-IL Board and Directors extend heartfelt thanks to the United States Secret Service, Chicago Field Office Operation Shining Star for its enthusiastic assistance and generosity every year. Major efforts like this event continue to ensure year-round free lodging with meals for 3,600 military families to date.
As always, the spring 2014 Golf Outing and Silent Auction was a well-organized sold-out fundraiser. Our hard working, enthusiastic Secret Service friends working side-by-side with some 20 Friends of Fisher House-Illinois volunteers made this occasion a highlight of our year.
We are thrilled and honored to have three Chicago agents strongly involved in spearheading fundraising efforts with great zeal.
FOFH-IL looks forward to the 2015 Operation Shining Star Charity golf Outing already in the works.
